Christy Funsch has been awarded a Choreographers Initiative Grant from Dance Force and the NY State Council on the Arts. This award will be used for the creation of a new dance work made in New York State, in conversation with dance artist Julie Mayo.

Christy performed with sound artist Joshua Fried on December 3rd, 2023, at NYC's Pangea.
Christy Funsch and Aura Fischbeck enjoyed a fruitful residency at Subcircle in Maine in May 2023. Their exploratory work “Rest Intervention” premiered in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival September 23rd & 24th.
Christy Funsch presented her 100 Days Score and performed her 2019 solo “Errant Spells For Forgiveness” in the 9th Annual Somatic Dance Conference and Performance Festival at Hobart and William Smith College July 6-8, 2023
Funsch Dance’s 2022 “kid subjunctive” was presented in Kingston NY’s O+ Festival on October 7-8th, 2023…and in Green Space’s Take Root Festival in Long Island City, NYC, on October 13-14th, 2023.
